ROCKS SPRINGS RUN

This is a wonder canoeing experience. You can bring your own or rent one here. Either way, put-in at King’s Landing, located off County Road 435, just north of Apopka. The current is generally smooth. There is wonderful Florida plant and wildlife to observe. Rock Springs flows about seven miles before joining the Wekiva River just past the Wekiva State Park. From this confluence you go another mile to a take-out point at Wekiva Marina. You can also find rentals as well as a shuttle service at King’s Landing.

WEKIVA RIVER

Canoe the Lower Wekiva River. This is a peaceful and smooth flowing river without a lot of congestion. Flow under SR 46, heading toward Katie's Landing, to the St. Johns River and Konomac Lake. The run is approximately 8 miles from Wekiva Falls. However, you can shorten that by putting in at Katie's Landing on the north side of SR 46. Both Wekiva Falls and Katie's Landing charge put-in fees, and can provide boat rentals.
